Archie R. Huebsch
In a May 3, 1945, Lowell Tribune article (page 6, column 1) Archie R. Huebsch of Lowell was listed as a recent army inductee from Local Board No. 1.
A September 6, 1945, Lowell Tribune article on page 2, column 1 listed Archie Huebsch as home on furlough from Camp Robinson, Ark. In the next column on the same page was an article about his marriage:
DORIS SARK AND PVT. ARCHIE HUEBSCH MARRIED
Miss Doris Sark, daughter of the Clyde Sarks, Lowell, was united in marriage to Pvt. Archie Huebsch, son of Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Huebsch, also of Lowell, September 2 at the Crown Point Presbyterian parsonage, Rev. Adkins performing the ceremony.The bride wore a suit of pastel green with pink accessories, and a corsage of beautiful white gladiolus.
Attendants of the bride and groom were Miss Helen Sark, sister of the bride, and Sgt. Wayne Huebsch, brother of the groom. Sgt. Wayne has recently returned from the European theatre of war.
The groom will report back to Camp Joseph T. Robinson, Arkansas, for reassignment.
Both Mr. and Mrs. Heubsch are graduates of Lowell high school.
