Irvin W. Huebsch

The following August 6, 1924, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 1, column 1:
Born, to Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Huebsch, Tuesday, August 5, 1924, a son.

A copy of the following newspaper article, hand-identified as being from a 1952 issue of the Star, was found in a scrapbook owned by Town Historian Richard Schmal:

Irvin Huebsch Dies In Hospital; Life Resident of Lowell Public Library

Stricken Saturday at his work, Irvin Huebsch, 61, life-long resident of Lowell community, died Tuesday in Gary Methodist hospital. He had been under care there since he was found by Kenneth Surprise in a field near Lowell where he was doing custom plowing.

Born just to the south of Lake Dalecarlia, he had spent his adult years in farming and with his wife had moved about two years ago from that neighborhood to a farm north of Lowell.

Mrs. Huebsch, the former Nadine Ebert, survives with their six children, whose are also in Lowell community: Bernard, Wayne and Archie; Mrs. Madeline Tully, Mrs. Ruby Swett and Mrs. Betty Hoffman.

Rev. Paul Reisen for the Methodist church will conduct services this afternoon (Thursday) at 2:00 in Weaver's chapel before burial is made in Lowell cemetery.
