The following undated, unidentified newspaper article was found in a copy of Helen Craft's Scrapbook at the Lowell Public Library:
    MARRIED: -- Charley Wagin and Miss Josie Goakey were married in Chicago on Sunday November 28th. Miss Goakey's home is in Chicago. The bride and groom are each seventeen years of age. The groom is the son of Amos Wagin, proprietor of a sample room in this place.

    WAGIN - MOUH

    At the home of the bride, Chicago, at 6 p.m. Monday, Septenber 12, 190_, Charles Wagin to Miss Laura Mouh*. The bride is a highly respected young lady and esteemed by all her acquaintances. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Amos Wagin, and has lived in Lowell and vicinity most of his life. He is an industrious young man and well liked by all. They arrived here Tuesday evening and are guests of their parents Mr. and Mrs. Amos Wagin and sister Mrs. E.E. Duckworth and husband. We extend to the happy couple hearty congratulations and best wishes for their future happiness and prosperity.

    Chas. Wagin and Miss Laura Mau*, both of Chicago, were married in that city Monday evening at 6 o'clock and should have arrived in Lowell on the late train but failed to do so, but they arrived on the milk train Tuesday evening to visit their parents and Eugene Duckworth and wife. We extend congratulations and wish them much joy and happiness.

* NOTE -- The two articles have different spellings for the maiden name of Mrs. Wagin -- "Mouh" and "Mau."
