HEART ATTACK FATAL TO MRS. W.J. NICHOLS
DEATH CAME WHILE SPENDING EVENING AT HOME OF NEIGHBOR.
While visiting at the home of neighbors, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kalvaitis, last Saturday evening, Mrs. Wheeler J. Nichols suffered a fatal heart attack and passed away at once. Medical aid and the fire department inhalator squad responded to the call at once, but could give no help.With her husband, Mrs. Nichols had gone to the Kalvaitis home, where a party was being held in honor of the Kalvaitis' 25th wedding anniversary. While not in the best of health for several years, she was felling as well as usual that day and evening. A daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. W.A. Davis, she was born and raised here, where she had spent her entire life time. She was 70 years of age.
She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband; three daughters -- Mrs. Ruby Bunker, of East Chicago; Mrs. Ruth Bacon, of Chicago, and Mrs. Jeanette Schilling, of Momence, and two sons -- Paul and William J., of Lowell. One sister, Miss Ethel Davis, resides in New York City.
Funeral services were held at the Weaver funeral home at 2 p.m. on Tuesday. Interment was made in the Lowell cemetery.
