    REASON C.1 KILE1 was born 10 August 1817 in Knox County, Ohio1, and died 10 February 1899 in Sherburnville, Indiana1. He married NANCY JANE HAYDEN1 Bet. 1840 - 18411, daughter of NEHEMIAH HAYDEN and HARRIET _____. She was born 27 April 1823 in Pennsylvania1, and died 19 October 1902 in Yellowhead Township, Kankakee County, Illinois1.

VAN ALSTINE11,12,13,14,15 24 October 1865 in Kankakee, Kankakee Co., Illinois16,17, son of ADAM VAN ALSTINE and CATHERINE GAY. He was born 12 February 1843 in Jonesville, Hillsdale Co., MI18,19,20, and died 27 January 1927 in Union Twp., Monticello, White Co., Indiana21.

    NANCY J.2 KILE (REASON C.1)39 was born 03 January 1842 in Yellowhead Township, Kankakee County, Illinois39. She married JAMES J. KELSEY39 18 September 186339, son of JOHN KELSEY and EUNICE JOHNSON. He was born 25 February 1842 in Tioga County, Pennsylvania39.

NOTES:

There was a Frank F. Heighway who was the Lake County Superintendent of schools around 1893. He lived in Crown Point in 1918 and died around 1921-2. His wife had Kelsy connections -- her name was included as an attendee of the James J. Kelsey funeral in 1920. G.W. Van Alstine of Monticello and E.E. Van Alstine of Cecil, OH, also attended that funeral. In the Biographical History of Tippecanoe, White, Jasper, Newton, Benton. . . Indiana, published in 1899, it refers to ". . .Minnie, the wife of Frank S. Highway, the principal of the high school at Crown Point." Chances are that the spellings "Heighway" and "Highway" refer to the same man.
