FOUR MORE LOCAL BOYS INDUCTED INTO SERVICE
- Among the inductees from Local Board No. 1, Crown Point, going into service June 22, were Richard L. Alm, Lowell; Robert Clayton Doty, Shelby; Roy WIlliam Surprise and Donald Richard Dickerson of Cedar Creek.

Donald Dickerson Wounded in Korea
Donald R. Dickerson, son of Mrs. Ada Dickerson of Cedar Lake, is reported wounded.The 25-year old G.I. previously had been wounded seriously before Christmas but after his shrapnel wounds were mended he was returned to duty. He is not believed seriously hurt.
Donald, who was born in Hammond, attended Lowell high school and served in World War II. He re-enlisted about a year ago.
