The following April 29, 1943, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 5, column 4:
    Mrs. A.J. Fetters was in Kentland yesterday attending the funeral of Joseph Steinbach, 69, who passed away following a heart attack. The deceased was publisher of the Kentland Democrat, which he had owned and edited for 51 years.

NOTE: David Steinbach, grandson of the Kentland Democrat owner, was kind enough to clarify, "My grandfather's name was Edward Joseph Steinbach -- he never went by the name Joseph Steinbach."
