Edward W. "Ed" Ault (1870-1925)
- Edward Ault, living near Sherburnville, died Sunday. His death was caused from the effects of an operation. Funeral services were held at Sherburnville Tuesday at 2 P.M. Obituary next week.
The following May 21, 1925, Lowell Tribune obituary appeared on page 1, column 4:
- Edward W. Ault was born on the homestead in Woodson County, Kansas, May 8, 1870. In March 1889 he went with his parents to Tacoma, Wash., and later came with them to Lowell in 1891. He died in the Kankakee hospital May 9, 1925, aged 55 years and 1 day.
He was united in marriage to Miss Helen Koll* in 1894. To this union three children were born, Fay, Archie and Ruth.
When a young man he united with the church at Yates Center, Kansas, and later transferred his membership to the Lowell Christian church, where he remained a member until he, with his family, moved to Sherburnville, sixteen years ago, and then he transferred his membership to the Sherburnville church.
He leaves to mourn him his wife, three children, two brothers, Jay, of Claypool, Ind., and John, of Whiting, Indiana, three sisters, Mrs. Horace Johnson, of Gary, Mrs. Thomas Powell, of Lowell, and Mrs. Frank Fields, of Valparaiso, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at the Sherburnville church Tuesday, May 12th, at 2 P.M. Rev. Fedlers, of Chicago Heights, conducted the funeral service. Interment was made in the Sherburnville cemetery.

* NOTE -- Although this article listed the maiden name of Mr. Ault's wife as"Koll," other sources list it as "Kolb."
