A excerpt from a May 16, 1903, Lowell Souvenir article (page 1, column 5) about the West Creek Commencement stated:
- In some well chosen words Ella Miller expressed the affectionate farewell address, to the school officers, instructors, classmates and friends.
- West Creek certainly ought to be proud of the class of 1903, being the largest class in the county, and second for high grades. The youngest pupil in the class, passed with good grades, completed the sixth, seventh and eighth grades, in two years.
This September 7, 1916, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 4, column 5:
- Miss Emma Miller, who has been visiting her mother, Mrs. Louise Miller, and other relatives here for some time left for her home in Riverside, Calif., Monday evening. Her sister, Miss Ella, accompanied her as far as Chicago.
This July 12, 1917, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 1, column 2:
- Mrs. Robert J. Miller has returned to her home in Odebolt, Iowa, after a visit here with her mother, Mrs. Louise Miller, and other relatives. Her sister, Miss Ella Miller, accompanied her as far as Chicago.
