The following article comes from the April 13, 1901, Lowell Souvenir (page 7, column 3), which can be found in the Local History Files in the drawer labeled "Old Newspapers":
    The box social given by Miss Emma Miller at the Oak Grove school house, Saturday night, was a glowing success, in spite of the bad weather. The neat sum of $19.60 was the proceeds, which is to be used for the purpose of purchasing books for the library.

The following article comes from the January 3, 1903, Lowell Souvenir (page 10, column 3), which can be found in the Local History Files in the drawer labeled "Old Newspapers":
    Mrs. Wm. Smith and son spent Christmas with her daughter Ira at Valparaiso, where she is attending business college. Miss Emma Miller accompanied them to visit her sister Anna, who is also attending college there.

The following article comes from the May 9, 1903, Lowell Souvenir (page 6, column 1), which can be found in the Local History Files in the drawer labeled "Old Newspapers":
    Mesdames Tyler Hogan and Starr Brownell and Miss Emma Miller were Chicago visitors Wednesday.

This September 7, 1916, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 4, column 5:
    Miss Emma Miller, who has been visiting her mother, Mrs. Louise Miller, and other relatives here for some time left for her home in Riverside, Calif., Monday evening. Her sister, Miss Ella, accompanied her as far as Chicago.
