The following newspaper article hand-identified as being fromt eh July 28, 1955 Tribune, was found in a scrapbook owned by Town Historian Richard Schmal:

    Emil Einspahr, 74, Dies; Lifetime Resident Here

    Emil E. Einsphar, 74, lifetime resident of West Creek Township, passed away Saturday July 16. He had been ill for a long time, and recently made his home with the Harold Suttons, also of West Creek.

    Emil was born in West Creek, March 10, 1881, the son of the late August and Katherina (Frank) Einspahr. He was a farmer.

    Survivors include one brother, Martin of Hebron, and one sister, Mrs. Catherine McVey of Crown Point.

    Memorial services were conducted by Rev. Loren Holt, pastor of the Church of Christ, at 2 p.m., Monday, July 18, in the Sheets Funeral home. Burial was in West Creek Cemetery.
