    After spending a ten-day furlough at his home here, Pfc. Eugene Stowell, in the field artillery, has returned to camp at Phillips, Kansas.
This April 13, 1944, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 4, column 1:
    Pfc. Eugene Stowell and brother Lewis Stowell, M 3/c, met at Providence, R.I., a few days ago for a short visit before Eugene, who is in the field artillery, left for overseas duty.
