    Pfc. Eugene Stowell and brother Lewis Stowell, M 3/c, met at Providence, R.I., a few days ago for a short visit before Eugene, who is in the field artillery, left for overseas duty.

This Lowell Tribune article was found in the January 10, 1946, issue (page 8, column 4):
    Word from Great Lakes says that Lewis Stowell, MM 2/c, and John Connelly, S 2/c have received their discharges from the navy.

This Lowell Tribune article was found in the January 17, 1946, issue (page 2, column 1):
    M.M. 2/c Lewis Stowell arrived home Jan. 1st with a discharge after spending the past year at Pearl Harbor.
