The following unidentified newspaper article was found in a scrapbook owned by Town Historian Richard Schmal:

    Forrest Brannock, 63, Dies Suddenly
    Funeral Saturday

    Forrest Brannock, 63, died very unexpectedly at 7:30 last evening at his home, 327 N. Burnham St. He became ill Sunday evening but his condition was not considered serious.

    A lifetime resident of Lowell, Forrest was born Dec. 28, 1892, the son of Mattie Brannock and the late James Brannock. Following his marriage to Elizabeth Potter, the couple farmed here until he went into business selling Rawleigh Products, about 30 years ago.

    He was a member of the First Methodist Church.

    Surviving with his wife and mother are two daughters, Mrs. Jason (Dorothy) Smith of Wilminton, Ill., and Mrs. Bruce (Mildred) Rathburn of Hebron; six grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Richard Nolan of East Chicago and Mrs. Monte Biesecker of Cedar Lake; two brothers, Kenneth of Gary, and Robert of Lowell; also other relatives and a wide circle of friends.

    Memorial services will be conducted in the Sheets Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25. Interment will be made in the Lowell cemetery.
