The following unidentified newspaper article was found in a scrapbook owned by Betty Burton of Lowell:

George W. Allen of near Hebron died March 10, 1906. He was in his 82nd year at the time of death. He was among the early settlers of that section and was very highly respected and esteemed by his neighbors. His niece, Mrs. Chas. Cobb and husband attended the funeral from here, which occurred on the 13 inst.
