Glen Hough
- Pfc. Glen Hough was the weekend guest of his parents, the Ed Houghs. Glen, who has completed his basic training at Camp Breckenridge, Ky., is expecting to be transferred to Washington State.
This October 16, 1952, Lowell Tribune article appeared on page 1, column 3:
- With the 45th Infantry in Korea -- Sgt. Glenn H. Hough, son of Mr. and Mrs. E.L. Hough of route 1, Hebron, recently left the 45th Infantry Division in Korea for return to the United States under an Army rotation program.
His division, an Oklahoma National Guard unit, was called to active duty in September 1950 and trained at Camp Polk, La., and on Hokkaido, Japan. The division arrived in Korea last December.
Sgt. Hough, who had been in Korea since November 1951, was communications chief in the 179th Infantry Regiment's Tank Company.
A 1951 graduate of Purdue University, he entered the Army in January of that year. Sgt. Hough is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Orville Hale of near Lowell and is well known here.
