This Lowell Tribune article was found in the January 4, 1945, issue (page 2, column 1):
    Lt. Henry Mueller, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Mueller, Sr., who formerly lived on a farm south of town, but who now reside at Lansing, Ill., was commissioned a Lieutenant in the air corps on Dec. 23, 1944, after completing his training. He has been in Lowell the past few days visiting friends and will return to his base at Valdosta, Ga. Lt. Mueller was on of the first from this vicinity to enlist in the service.
