Hilda Struble

Hilda Struble

The following unidentified newspaper article (ca. early 1900's) was found in a scrapbook owned by Betty Burton of Lowell:

    DIED OF DIPHTHERIA

Hilda, youngest daughter of Mrs. John Struble, died Saturday morning of diphtheria at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Freshour, who reside on the old Cyril Sanger farm south of Pat Buckley's. Mrs. Struble, who now lives at Chicago Heights, came Thanksgiving to visit friends here. The little girl, we understand, was sick when she came here. Several of the Freshour children, of which there are six, have been sick of the disease, but are reported better. Mrs. Struble has the sympathy of her friends here in the loss of her little girl.
