Horace W. Dodd

- We learned just before going to press that Horace Dodd, of Lowell, a member of the same Company and Regiment who served three years under Mr. Clark, died on Tuesday, and he too was an invalid for a long time and shortly before his death his pension was raised to $24 per month. He was a widower and leaves two grown daughters. The deceased was close to 65 years of age and was also the son of a pioneer who settled in West Creek in early times.
- The 24th of last June, 45 years after this Company left Lake county with 101 men and three officers, there were 28 original members living, and this loss of two makes the dead roll number 75. Peace to their ashes.
