This Lowell Tribune article was found in the August 2, 1945, issue (page 2, column 1):
    Cpl. Howard H. Ragon and wife, who have been here the past three weeks visiting his parents, the C.U. Ragons, and her parents, the William Hoffmeisters, at Cedar Lake, left Sunday for Aberdeen, Maryland, where he is stationed. Howard, who had just finished ordnance school, expects to go aboard a supply ship in a few days as an ordnance clerk. His destination is unknown.

This June 28, 1945, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 2, column 3:
    T/4 Howard Ragon and wife were here for a week-end visit with his parents, the C.U. Ragons. Howard is now stationed with the ordnance department near Brooklyn, N.Y.

This November 15, 1945, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 2, column 1:
    T/4 Howard H. Ragon and wife were here four days this week with his parents, the C.U. Ragons, and sister, Mrs. Burrell Belshaw, and husband. Howard, now stationed at Camp Shanks, N.Y., expects to be discharged the last of the month, after serving four and one-half years in the army.
