The following Aug. 24, 1916, Lowell Tribune article appeared on page 5, column 3:
- Hughe Hayden, of Lowell, and Ervin Texter, of Hammond, visited their cousin, Leeon S. Cobb at Conrad Thursday.
This Aug. 31, 1916, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 7, column 3:
- Mrs. Thuel Hayden and son, Hughe, have returned from a week's visit with relatives in Hammond and Chicago.
In an October 19, 1916, Lowell Tribune article (page 1, column 3) about the first county agricultural fair held by the schools, Hughe Hayden of Lake Prairie placed first in the Boys' and Girls' Poultry Club.
A May 24, 1917, Lowell Tribune article (page 8, column 1) about the eighth grade commencements of West Creek and Cedar Creek Townships listed Hughe C. Hayden as playing a "Patriotic Medley" piano solo. He was from the Lake Prairie School, where his father Thuel A. Hayden was instructor. The eighth grade graduates from that school were Hughe Hayden, Anna Meyers, Ruth Stuppy, Henry Wietbrock, and Freddie Wood.
A July 26, 1917, Lowell Tribune article (page 1, column 6) mentions that Hughe Hayden and his parents were guests at Ina Hayhurst's 16th birthday party.
Another article in the same issue of the paper (page 5, column 6) follows:
- Hughe Hayden had the misfortune to have both bones of one leg fractured Tuesday. He received medical attention and is getting along as well as can be expected.
The following Jan. 7, 1943, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 2, column 6:
- Mr. and Mrs. Thuel A. Hayden enjoyed the holiday vacation with their son, Dr. Hughe C. Hayden and family in Hammond.
This Oct. 10, 1946, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 7, column 3:
- Dr. and Mrs. Hughe C. Hayden and son and daughter of Hammond, came Saturday to enjoy their birthdays at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Thuel A. Hayden.
The following June 29, 1950, Lowell Tribune article appeared on page 9, column 2:
- When Ivan Hayhurst visited in Chicago Sunday, his mother, Mrs. J. H. Hayhurst, and his aunt, Mrs. Iza J. Cobb, returned home with him concluding a pleasant week's visit with their three sisters who reside in the city. Enroute home they stopped in Hammond at the home of their nephew and his wife, Dr. and Mrs. Hughe Hayden, and extended congratulations on the occasion of the Hayden's Silver Wedding Anniversary, which they were celebrating with an open house.
The following May 15, 1958, Lowell Tribune article appeared on page 5, column 2:
