Isaac "Ike" Gershman
A copy of the following newspaper article, hand-identified as being from an August 28, 1952 issue of the Tribune, was found in a scrapbook owned by Town Historian Richard Schmal:
Lowell's Staunchest Supporter Enjoys Week End Centennial Activities
Isaac Gershman of Chicago was the guest of the Leon Baileys on Saturday and Sunday and attended Centennial Activities which he helped promote.Mr. Gershman, a former Lowell "Old Timer," is manager of the Chicago City News Bureau and through his efforts, Lowell received not only coast to coast publicity, but was headlined in England, the Panama Canal Zone, Canada, and various other regions of the world.
To Mr. Gershman we extend our sincerest appreciation.
