JOHN HACK PASSES AWAY AT HOME OF HIS DAUGHTER SATURDAY NIGHT

    John Hack, one of the pioneers of Lake county, and of this section in particular, passed away Saturday night at the home of his daughter, Mrs. E.R. Lynch, with whom he had made his home for some time. Up to about a year ago he was able to get around as usual, but since that time he has gradually failed and for some time he has only been down town occasionally.
    The deceased was a man who was widely known all over the county, having been in the dredging business for many years, doing mostly county work. In his younger days he conducted a harness shop in Lowell and for many years did a thriving business.
    He was a man who was well liked by all who knew him and will be missed by a large circle of friends.
    Obituary
    John Hack, oldest son of John and Mary Hack, was born in St. John township, Lake county, Indiana, December 12, 1843, and departed this life October 24, 1931. He was united in marriage with Catherine Ann Driscoll, November 23, 1863, who preceded him in death November 28, 1924.

    Obituary
    John Hack, oldest son of John and Mary Hack, was born in St. John township, Lake county, Indiana, December 12, 1843 and departed this life October 24, 1931. He was united in marriage with Catherine Ann Driscoll, November 23, 1863, who preceded him in death November 28, 1924.
    To this marriage two children were born, Mrs. E.R. Lynch, of Lowell, and J. Will Hack, of Gary, Ind.
    He had been a resident of Lowell for nearly 70 years, had many friends, was a splendid neighbor, and always willing and ready to help in time of trouble; he was a kind husband and father, a good citizen.
    Besides his children he leaves two grand children, Madge Lynch and John W. Hack; one sister, Mrs. Mee of Chicago, and one brother, George Ennis, of Chicago Heights, besides numerous other relatives.
    Funeral services were held at the Weaver funeral home Tuesday at 2 p.m. Music was furnished by Mrs. George Foster and Mrs. John Taylor. The services were conducted by Rev. McBride, pastor of the Methodist church. Interment in the Lowell cemetery in charge of Weaver & Son.
