The following article was found in the May 29, 1958, Lowell Tribune on page 1, column 2:

    Funeral Tuesday for Leeon Cobb, 56

    Leeon Cobb, 56, a lifetime resident of the Lowell-Shelby community, succumbed to a year of ill health, May 24. He was employed at Standard Forge Co. in Hammond.

    He was born near Lowell May 26, 1902, the son of Charles and Iza Jane Cobb.

    Survivors include his wife, Essie Studer Cobb; a daughter, Mrs. Verne (Marjorie) Denton and a grandson, Scot of Lake Village; two sisters, Mrs. R. Harvey (Vessie) Smith of Lowell, and Mrs. Halsey (Belva) Davis of Lake Village.

    Father John Woods officiated at the Requiem Mass offered at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 27, in St. Theresa's church at Shelby, and burial was in the Lowell cemetery.
