    Birthday Surprise Party

    Thursday, May 27, being the 12th birthday of Lorene Herman, many relatives and friends gathered at her home and gave her a surprise. The evening was spent in playing games and social chat.

    Those present: Messrs and Mesdames Ike Tuttle, Ike Griffith, Chas, Taylor, Roy Crawford, Harold Smith, August Kruger, Will Kruger, Will Crawford, Jacob Herman and Mrs. Liua Henderson; Lyrill Taylor, Hally and Madge Blanchard, Lamar, Marjorie, Edna, Ruth and Robert Tuttle, Ernest and Mildred Wooldridge, Waunita Smith, Smith, Remona, Wayne and Varnora Crawford, Grace Smith, Dorothy and Donald Kruger, Leslie Crawford, Richard, Corbitt, Gerald and Lorena Herman. Lorena received many useful presents. At a late hour the guests departed wishing her many happy returns of the day.
