The following article appeared in the April 12, 1934, issue of the Lowell Tribune (page 6, column 3):

    KRETZ - SCHUTZ NUPTUALS

St. Edward church was the scene of a pretty and impressive wedding ceremony on Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock when Miss Magdalena Kretz became the bride of Henry Schutz. Rev. A.J. Kroeger, of St. Edward church, read the nuptial mass. The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Catherine, and the groom by his brother, Karl. The bride was beautiful in a white satin ensemble and wore a lace cap and veil. She carried a beautiful bouquet of yellow and white roses.

The bridesmaid wore a gown of Elenar blue crepe and carried a bouquet of red roses.

Following the ceremony a sumptuous wedding dinner was served.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Kretz, living southeast of town. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Valentine Schutz, Jr., residing near Cook.

After a short honeymoon trip Mr. and Mrs. Schutz will be at home to their friends on his farm northwest of town.
