May Bean Harsha (1870-1925)

- May Bean was born near Leroy, Ill., February 16, 1870, and was united in marriage to Ed Harsha in Bloomington, Ill., December 22, 1886. She moved with her family to Indiana in 1900 and resided here the rest of her life. She departed this life January 6, 1925, at the age of 54 years, 10 months and 20 days.
To this union were born ten children, three of whom, Lesley, Elsie and Myrtle, have passed to the great beyond. She leaves to mourn her death her husband, and seven children: Cark Harsha, Mrs. Clara Romine and Harley Harsha, of Rose Lawn, Mrs. Pearl Curtis, of Shelby, Mrs. Emma leeward, of Knox, and George and Zella, at home, also two sisters, Mrs. Charles Binkholder, of Bloomington, Ill., and Mrs. Samantha Kratzer, of Bruena Park, Calif. She had one brother, William Bean, of Leroy, Ill., that passed away May 21, 1923. She also leaves 12 grand-children and a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at Rose Lawn at 10:30 Thursday and were conducted by Rev. C.A. Brown, pastor of the Lowell M.E. church. Interment was made in the Lowell cemetery. Undertake Sheets had charge of the burial service. The following acted as pall bearers: Charles Boyle, Ed Meyers, Al Fehlman, Schuyler Cox, Charles Hickman and Ed Cox.
