Oscar Dinwiddie
- Oscar Dinwiddie's team became unmanageable the other day in Hebron, upset the wagon loaded with lumber, rushed unceremoniously down street, playing the "dickens" generally. Oscar was bruised a trifle, lost a boot heel, which was another trifle, but otherwise came out all right.
The following unidentified newspaper article (ca. the early 1900's) was found in a scrapbook owned by Betty Burton of Lowell:
Lost a Finger
Saturday last Oscar Dinwiddie was operating a corn harvester when the index finger of his left hand was caught in the gearing of the machinery and crushed so badly that amputation was necessary. Dr. Davis was called and amputated the finger near the knuckle joint.
