PHYLLIS JEAN LOVE MARRIED AT SCHNEIDER SEPTEMBER 8
Saturday, Sept. 8th, at 8 o'clock Miss Phyllis Jean Love, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Love of Schneider, became the bride of Robert Wehrenberg, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wehrenberg of Winona, Minnesota, at a beautiful candlelight wedding service. The bride was given in marriage by her father and with the assistance of Rev. Donald Airey, Rev. T.H. Adkins performed the single-ring ceremony at the Presbyterian church in Schneider. The exchange of vows followed a prelude of piano music by Mrs. Ira Gerrich and Mrs. Charles Lawson singing "Because."
Preceded down the aisle by her maid of honor, Miss Ellen Miller of Lowell, the bride took her place with her father, the bridegroom and his attendant before an altar lighted with white tapers set in branching candelabras and banked with baskets of white gladioli.
The bride was attired in a sage green wool-crepe suit dress accented with brown accessories. Her corsage consisted of a delicate shade of yellow rosebuds blending with her costume.
The maid of honor wore a fuschia-colored suit dress with black accessories; talisman rosebuds made up her corsage. The groom wore a double-breasted black suit.
The bride's mother used black accessories very effectively with her aqua and black dress. She wore white gladioli as a corsage.
The reception was held immediately after the wedding in the auditorium of Schneider school, where members of the Friendly Neighbors club poured coffee and the guests were served salted nuts at the table where the wedding cake was cut. Music furnished by a three-piece orchestra added a note of gaiety throughout the evening.
Following the reception the couple left for a short honeymoon. They will make their home in Winona, Minnesota, where Robert is now employed.
