A February 18, 1943, Lowell Tribune article (page 1, column 3) listed Robert G. Tuttle of Lowell among the 55 south Lake County men reporting to Fort Benjamin Harrison after passing an army examination and spending a week's leave at home.

A March 4, 1943, Lowell Tribune article (page 2, column 2) said that Robert Tuttle had been transferred from Fort Benjamin Harrison to Camp Roberts, California, for basic training.


This May 25, 1944, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 2, column 1:

    Home from Camp Roberts

    Pfc. Robert Tuttle is here enjoying a 15-day furlough with his wife and daughter and other relatives. Bob will return to his duties at Camp Roberts, Calif., in a few days.

The following July 13, 1944, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 2, column 1:
    T/Cpl. Robert Tuttle, who has been stationed at Camp Roberts, Calif., is home for a few days visit with his wife and daughter and other relatives. Bob, who is in the field artillery, is being transferred to Ft. Riley, Kansas.

The following November 9, 1944, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 2, column 1:
    T/5 Robert Tuttle, stationed at Fr. Riley, Kansas, spent the week-end here with his wife and little daughter.

This April 12, 1945, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 2, column 2:

    Cpl. Robert G. Tuttle was home from Ft. Meade, Maryland, for a short visit with his family and his parents last week.

The following December 13, 1945, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 1, column 2:
    Born to S/Sgt. and Mrs. Robert Tuttle, December 4th, a daughter.

This May 23, 1946, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 7, column 3:
    Sgt. Robert Tuttle left last Wednesday for Camp Atterbury for reassignment. Bob, who has been home on 90 days furlough, has re-enlisted in the service.

From The Lowell Tribune, Dec. 14, 1950, page 2, column 2:
    Two new addresses of boys in service are these of Robert Tuttle and Harold Koonce:

The following November 8, 1951, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 1, column 2:
    Bob Tuttle sends a new mailing address for his Tribune and home friends: M/Sgt. Robert G. Tuttle RA-35584943, Branch Exchange 585, Camp Kobe, APO 317, c/o P.M., San Francisco, Calif.
