Ronald A. Gross
- Roland J. Hoffman, Walter H. Crouch and Richard S. Walden, who reported on Tuesday of last week for induction in the armed forces, were assigned to serve with the Marine Corps. 16 were inducted into the army -- Ronald A. Gross, Alfred E. Smith, Brice A. Weiler, Charles G. Steffel, Everett L. Molden, Charles R. Krieter, John A. Clemens, Raymond F. Crilley, Joseph G. Schelfo, Richard F. Van Doring, Lester L. Wien, William J. Johnson, James L. Scott, Robert M. Kedzo, Herbert R.E. Gerst and Donald J. Miller.
The following Oct. 23, 1952, Lowell Tribune article appeared in Section 2 on page 2, columns 2-3:
- With the 40th Infantry Division in Korea -- Army Pvt. Ronald A Gross, son of Mrs. Carolyn Gross of Cedar Lake, recently graduated from the 40th Infantry Division's signals school in Korea.
During two of the eight weeks he spent at the school, Gross learned how to apply signal procedures to field problems. He was also taught to use all types of radio equipment under simulated combat conditions.
A November 20, 1952, Lowell Tribune article about Kip Connelly mentioned that Ronald Gross was in Korea.
