The following August 5, 1926, Lowell Tribune article appeared on page 1, column 2:

    CHILDERS - BROOKS

    Miss Wanda Mae Childers, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew J. Childers, of Lowell, and Alva B. Brooks, of Baltimore, Maryland, were united in marriage at Valparaiso, Ind., Friday, July 9th, at the Methodist parsonage.

    Mrs. Brooks is a graduate of the Lowell High school, class of '25 and for the past eight months has been attending Hammond Business College. She is an estimable and highly respected young lady. Mr. Brooks is an inspector for the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad. They will make their home at Baltimore, Md.

    We join their many friends in extending congratulations and best wishes.
