The Lowell Star, Aug. 17, 1872, page 5, column 3, had a list of soldiers who were supporters of Grant in that election. Among them was Watson Fuller of the 73rd Ind. This could have been either E.W. Fuller or R.W. Fuller from the 73rd Ind. Infantry. Both are listed on the Three Creeks Monument, and at that time many people went by their middle names.
