The following July 20, 1944, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 1, column 4:

    LIFE-LONG RESIDENT OF WEST CREEK TWP. DIES

    William M. Einspahr, 70, who had been in ill health for some time, and seriously ill the past week, died at his home west of Lowell, Monday. He was a life-long resident of West Creek township, where he had always engaged in farming.

    He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, two sisters, Mrs. Joseph Carl of Crown Point, and Mrs. C.M. McVey of Lowell, and three brothers, Martin, of Crown Point, Walter and Emil of Lowell.

    Funeral services were held at the Church of Christ yesterday at 2 p.m. Rev. H.F. Bulger, former pastor of the local church, officiating. Interment, in charge of Kenneth Sheets, was made in the West Creek cemetery.
