A July 13, 1944, Lowell Tribune article (page 6, column 2) listed Carl Beier of Schneider as a Navy volunteer.


The following November 2, 1944, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 4, column 2:
    Seaman Carl Beier, son of the Orville Beiers, Schneider, returned to Camp Peary, South Carolina, after spending a week leave here with his parents and friends.

This Lowell Tribune article was found in the September 13, 1945, issue (page 2, column 1):

    Carl (Skip) Beiers, S 1/c, who has been serving as an instructor in Communications at Corpus Christi, Texas, the past several months, is home on a 12-day leave visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Orville Beier at Schneider, and friends in Lowell.

This November 15, 1945, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 2, column 2:
    Aviation Ordnance Mechanic 3/c, Theodore Tappan, combat air crewman, stationed at Corpus Christi, Texas, is home on a 12 day furlough with his parents, the Walter Tappans. "Skip" Beier of Schneider is also stationed at the same camp.
