The following Dec. 31, 1959, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 1, column 5:
Fred Heiser, Shelby, Dies at Age of 74
Fred Hieser, 74, of Shelby died Wednesday, Dec. 23. He had been ill since he was injured in an auto accident six years ago.Fred was born at Cook, Ind., the son of Peter and Mary Heiser. He had worked in area stores and as a farm employee.
The Rev. Joseph Wonderly officiated at the 10 a.m. Requiem Mass offered at Holy Name Catholic church in Cook on Dec. 26 and burial was in Holy Name cemetery.
Mr. Heiser is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Katherine Berg of Lowell and Miss Ann Heiser of Chicago; five brothers, Charles, William and Robert of Chicago, Joseph and Matt of Shelby.
