    SPRAGUE -MORGAN

Miss Verna Irene Morgan, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold E. Morgan, of Buckley, Ill., became the bride of Elmo H. Sprague, son of Mr. and Mrs. M.P. Sprague of Lowell, Ind., in a pretty home wedding read at one o'clock Saturday afternoon, September 3rd. In the presence of relatives and friends of the couple, Rev. Charles Kinrade, pastor of the Methodist Episcopal church at Onarga, Ill., read the single ring ceremony.

Attending the bride, as her maid of honor, was her twin sister, Miss Velma Morgan, of Buckley. Roy Sprague, of Lowell, brother of the groom, served as best man.

As the bridal party descended the stairway and proceeded to the arched doorway, which was banked with ferns and gladiolas, Miss Marie Crane played the Bridal Chorus from Lohengrin. During the ceremony Miss Crane played "I Love You Truly" and "O Promise Me."

The bride was lovely in her wedding gown of grape wine velvet. Her flowers were a corsage of Talisman roses and gypsohilia.

Following the ceremony a luncheon was served, the color scheme being pink and white. Later, Mr. and Mrs. Sprague departed by motor on a week's honeymoon trip to the southern states after which they will be at home to their friends in Hartford, Wis.

Miss Morgan, [a] charming and cultured young lady, graduated from Loda High school with the class of '35. She attended the U. of I. in 1936 and later graduated from the Edith Heller school of Beauty Culture. Since that time she has been employed in Kankakee.

The groom, who comes from a prominent family, has resided in Lowell all his life. He graduated from Lowell High school and attended a school of interior decorating in Chicago. He is employed in this work at Hartford, Wis.

Out of town guests present at [the] wedding were: Mrs. M.P. Sprague and son, Roy, of Lowell; Miss Mae Weller, of Kankakee; Mr. and Mrs. Evan Imes and daughter, Shirley, of Chicago, and Rev. and Mrs. Charles Kinrade, of Onarga.
