(Mrs. Carl Wehle)

The following unidentified newspaper article was found in a scrapbook owned by Town Historian Richard Schmal:

MRS. AGNES WEHLE, 65 FORMER RESIDENT DIES

Death came suddenly last Thursday morning to Mrs. Agnes (Carlinng) Wehle, 65, who passed away at St. Catherine's hospital. She had come from Houston, Texas, to attend funeral services held that morning for her daughter, Mrs. Garth (Marjorie) Griffin, 32, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help church in Hammond. She became ill Wednesday evening, and died before services for her daughter had been held.

Wife of the late Carl Wehle, the Wehle family resided here for 15 years. Mrs. Wehle left Lowell soon after her husband's death.

Services were held Monday in the Donnellan Funeral Chapel in Chicago, and at 9:30 a.m. in St. Sabina church, 78th Place and Throop Street, Chicago. Burial was in St. Mary's cemetery, Evergreen Park, Ill., beside her husband.

Survivors include three sons, Carl of Hammond, Earl of Michigan City, and Peter of Lombard, Ill.; four daughters, Miss Virginia and Miss June Wehle, and Mrs. Florence Doran, all of Houston, and Mrs. Lillian Reedy of Chicago.
