This unidentified newspaper article, originally dated May 22, 1924 [Sixty Years Ago], was found in a scrapbook owned by Town Historian Richard Schmal:

An exceptionally large class graduated from the eighth grade in the Lowell school this year. They will enter the Lowell high school this fall. The names of the twenty-one graduates are as follows: Shirley Burton, Jean Iddings, Herbert Johnson, Harold Childers, Gilbert McNay, Dorothy Taylor, Harold Fuller, Elmo Schultz, Wayne Petry, Elmer Ruley, Ruby Liston, Evelyn Schmidt, Velva Davis, Vera Hayden, Helen Koonce, Mabel Brown, Gerald Ebert, Milford Johnson, Rachel Williams, Ernest Nichols.
