The following October 1, 1925 Lowell Tribune article appeared on page 1, column 4:

    WELL KNOWN COUPLES WED
    Kenney - Scritchfield

    Cordie Kenney and Miss Bessie Scritchfield were united in marriage at the home of the bride's parents Friday, Sept. 25th, at 11:30 a.m. Rev. C.A. Brown performed the ceremony. The bride is the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cass Scritchfield and is a most highly esteemed young lady. The groom is one of our highly esteemed young men. After the ceremony which was witnessed by members of the immediate family, the young couple left on a short trip in Wisconsin, and after their return will make their home near Lowell. We join their many friends in extending congratulations and best wishes.
