The following April 25, 1929, Lowell Tribune article appeared on page 1, column 6:

    FORMER LOWELL LADY CALLED

    Mrs. Edith Schaunlaub died very suddenly at her home at Kentland Sunday. She had been in poor health for about three years, but was not considered serious until two days before her death. She had been troubled with high blood pressure and was taken suddenly worse Friday.

    The deceased was formerly Miss Edith Spalding and lived here with her parents until she was grown. She was 42 years of age. She leaves to mourn her death her aged mother, Mrs. Margaret Spalding; two sisters, Mrs. Ray Hale, of Cedar Lake and Mrs. Grace Nicholson of Gary, and one brother, Frank, of Franklin Park, Ill., together with a host of other relatives and friends.

    Funeral services were held at Kentland Tuesday and interment was made in the Kentland cemetery.
