Frank Potter
- Frank Potter was born at Vanderbilt, Michigan, July 2, 1859. On December 28, 1880, he united in marriage with Margaret Mary Becker. The marriage was solemnized at Crown Point by Rev. Charles A. Brooks. Two sons and two daughters were born to this union. His wife, one son, two daughters: Mrs. Carrie Pinkerton and Mrs. Lizzie Brannock, survive. There are also five grand children living. One son died in infancy. One half sister, Eliza Eddy, lives at Vanderbilt, Mich.
Frank Potter confessed his faith in his Savior and united with the Methodist Episcopal Church at Orchard Grove November 5, 1905, under the ministry of the Rev. Dunning Idle.
He was a man of quiet ways, industrious and of retiring disposition. He believed in God, loved his neighbor and found great satisfaction and joy in his home life.
He closed his earthly pilgrimage and began the heavenly life in the early morning of December 19, 1924, aged 65 years, 5 months and 17 days.
Funeral services were held at the Methodist church Sunday at 1:30 p.m. Rev. C.A. Brown of the church conducted the services. Interment was made in the Orchard Grove cemetery. Undertaker William Sheets had charge of the burial service. Nephews of the deceased acted as pall bearers.
