- Fred McCann has enlisted in the navy and will leave next Monday for the induction center at Indianapolis.
This March 2, 1944, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 2, column 2:
- Huron Ruge, who recently passed the qualifying exams for the army air corps, left for the induction center at Indianapolis, Monday. His wife and daughter will continue to live in the home of her father, A.J. Moxell.
- Also leaving on the same day was Fred McCann, son of the Harold McCanns, who was inducted into the army recently.
This Lowell Tribune article was found in the January 17, 1946, issue (page 2, column 2):
- Fred McCann is home on a twenty-eight day leave with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold McCann.
