POPULAR YOUNG COUPLE MARRIED
Dr. L. Burdette Hayden, of Wilmington, Ill., and Miss Helen Burroughs, of Shelby, were united in marriage at the Epworth parsonage at South Bend, Ind., Monday at 2:30 p.m. Rev. C.A. Brown, former pastor of the M.E. church in Lowell, performed the ceremony. The ceremony was witnessed by members of the families of the bride and groom. After the ceremony the young couple left for a short wedding trip and they expect to be at home to their friends at Wilmington about June 4.The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Burroughs, of Shelby and is well known in Lowell -- having attended the Lowell High school from which she is a graduate and is a most popular young lady among her many friends.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Hayden. He is a graduate of Lowell High school and is a young man who is very highly esteemed by a large circle of friends in his old home town. He has dental parlors at Wilmington, where he and his bride will make their future home. We john their many friends in extending congratulations and best wishes.
