The following unidentified newspaper article, hand-dated March 1, 1956, was found in a scrapbook owned by Town Historian Richard Schmal:

    Heart Attack Claims Ina V. Johnson

    Mrs. Ina V. Johnson, 72, suffered a heart attack last Friday, Feb. 24, and passed away on Saturday. She had been in Lowell to transact business and pick up her auto license, and was enroute home when she became suddenly ill.

    Ina was the daughter of the late William T. and Mary Jeanette Buchanan farm, east of Lowell, on September 24, 1883. November 27, 1902 she was married to John A. Johnson of Lowell, who preceded her in death.

    Mrs. Johnson was a member of the Lowell Church of Christ.

    Rev. E.L. Worley, pastor of the Shelby Church of Christ, officiated at memorial services held in the Sheets Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Feb. 29. Interment was made in the Hebron Cemetery

    Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Wilson of Hammond; sons, John E. of Calumet City, and Max of Point Reyes, Calif.; a brother, Albert Buchanan of Whiting; and four grandchildren, beside a host of friends.
