    JOHN FEHLMAN
    John Fehlman died at the home of Mrs. Adam Dillabaugh on Monday after a long illness caused by heart trouble. Mr. Fehlman was 74 years of age and is survived by his wife, and four children by his first union.
    He was well known in the southern part of the county and had spent the past few years at Water Valley. At one time he was a resident of Crown Point, owning a property on West North street, at the time of his death.
    John A. Fehlman was born Dec. 14, 1844 at Warren, Pa., In early life he moved from Pennsylvania to Illinois thence to Iowa and from Iowa to Indiana, living in Lowell, Crown Point and Shelby. On July 4, 1893 he was united in marrige to Julia L. Chaffee. Since last April he has been ill, the last three months being in Crown Point. In 1864 he enlisted in the 156th regiment of the Illinois Infantry and served until the end of the war.
    Short funeral services were held at Crown Point last Thursday, conducted by Rev. J.A. Ayling. The remains were brought to Lowell and interred in the Lowell cemetery. Colfax lodge F. & A.M., of which the deceased was a member, conducted the burial services.
