The following obituary was found on page 16 of the Feb. 11, 1981, Lowell Tribune:
- Rose M. Etzel, age 73, of Lowell, passed away Sat., Feb. 7, 1981 at St. Anthony Medical Center in Crown Point. She is survived by one son, Robert Etzel, of Lowell; four daughters, Rosemary (Francis) Halfman, Alberta (Donald) Haberlin and Beverly (Robert) Boyer, all of Lowell, and Lynn (Wayne) Nuss of Thayer; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one brother, Harry Worley, of Chicago, Ill; and five sisters, Sadie Spencer of Hobart, Della Mollenar of Lowell, Mary Reed of Schneider, Violet Mott of Kentland, and Myrtle Call of Roselawn. Funeral services were held from Sheets Funeral Home Feb. 10, with Rev. George Gay officiating. Burial took place at Lowell Memorial Park. Rose Etzel was a member of the Lake Dalecarlia Community Bible Church.
NOTE: In this article Della Etzels married name was spelled "Mollenar." Most other sources spell it "Molenaar."
