The following December 21, 1967, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 6, column 4:
    Scott Steward, 5 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Steward, celebrated his birthday on Dec. 8th. In honor of the occasion his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Steward, and aunt, Mrs. Paul Steward, and Mindy, came that evening for ice cream and birthday cake and with gifts for Scott. On Sunday his grandmother Mrs. Orpha Sanger of Munster and Mr. and Mrs. Denzil Sanders and three sons of Munster were dinner guests and Scotty enjoyed another birthday party.

The marriage license announcement for "Scott Steward, 22, and Tracie Hedrick, 21, both of Lowell, was found on page 2, column 6, of the August 7, 1985, Lowell Tribune. The wedding story was found on the same page of the paper, on columns 4-5:

    United In Marriage

    Tracie Ann Hedrick and Scott Douglas Steward were united in marriage July 20, 1985, at the First United Methodist Church, Lowell.

    The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hedrick of Lowell, and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Steward of Lowell.

    Marriage vows were exchanged by the couple at a two o'clock, double-ring ceremony with Dr. Richard Thistle officiating. Soloist Jo Ellyn Chadwick sang "The Wedding Song," "The Rose" and "Just You and I," accompanied by Lynda Dawson, organist.

    The bride wore a white satin gown styled with an illusion neckline, long sleeves ending in lace bridal points, and a chapel-length train, accented with beaded Alencon lace.

    She carried a bouquet of white roses and trailing ivy with pink and white stephanotis. Her bouquet and all other floral pieces were designed and created by the groom's aunt, Donna Steward of Lowell.

    The matron of honor was Tammy Hedrick of Lowell, sister-in-law of the bride. Bridesmaids were Karen Hamstra, DeMotte, Kayleen Wallace, Valparaiso, Sue Franklin, New York, and Lisa Brown of Texas, formerly of Lowell. The flower girl was Jennifer Morris of Burnham, Illinois. The bridesmaids and flower girl wore long, pink, off-the-shoulder gowns with a hemline flounce and ruffled train. They carried bouquets of pink and white roses.

    Todd Steward of Lowell, brother of the groom, served as best man. The groomsmen were Dave Hirata, Lowell, Skip Henson, Lowell, Steve Erwin, Elkhart, and Dan Newton, Ogden Dunes. The ringbearer was David Hedrick, Lowell, nephew of the bride.

    Seating the guests were Greg and Scott Hedrick of Lowell, brothers of the bride, and Bob Cragin of Hobart. Waiting outside the church was a buggy complete with horse and driver to escort the newly-married couple on a ride through town.

    A six o'clock dinner reception attended by 250 guests was held at St. George Serbian Hall in Schererville. Music was provided by John Kuiper and the County Line Band.

    The bride is a graduate of Lowell High School and a 1985 graduate of St. Joseph College, earning a bachelor's degree in elementary education.

    The groom is also a graduate of Lowell High School and a 1985 graduate of St. Joseph College, earning a bachelor's degree in physical education. He is employed at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, Ill., as a graduate assistant football coach.

    The couple honeymooned in Florida and are now residing in Carbondale.


The following November 27, 1991, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 4, column 3:
    Scott and Tracie Steward of Salem, Ill., announce the birth of their first child, a daughter named Megan Kay, on Oct. 19, 1991, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Mr. Vernon, Ill. She weighed 8 lbs. 13 oz. and was 21-3/4 inches in length at birth. Grandparents are Jerry and Kay Steward and Frank and Shirley Hedrick, all of Lowell. The great grandparents are Ortha Sanger and Alice Steward, both of Lowell, Helen Hedrick of Dyer and Glen May of Alabama.

The following July 30, 1996, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 3, column 3:
    Scott and Tracie Steward of 600 Airport Rd., Salem, Ill., 62881, announced the birth of a daughter, named Mallory Faith, on July 6, 1996, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Mr. Vernon, Ill. She weighed 9 lb. 5 oz. and she was 21 inches in length at birth. She has one sister, Megan, age 4 1/2 years. Grandparents are Jerry and Kay Steward and Frank and Shirley Hedrick, all of Lowell. Their great-grandparents are Orpha Sanger of Lowell, Alice Steward of Lowell, Helen Hedrick of Dyer and Glenn Mays of Crown Point
