Joined in Marriage
Sheila Ann May and Todd Allen Steward, both of Lowell, exchanged wedding vows June 19, 1990, in double ring services at the Lowell Church of Christ.Minister Chuck Hochmuth officiated at the three o'clock ceremony which united the daughter of Donald and Hilda May of 1006 Kankakee St., Lowell, and the son of Jerry and Kay Steward of 11914 W. 181st St., Lowell.
Soloist Peggy Hendricks, accompanied by organist Debbie Martin, sang "Sunrise, Sunset" and "We've Only Just Begun."
The bride appeared in a white satin gown styled with a 'V' neckline, long Victorian sleeves and a fitted bodice accented with beaded Alencon lace. The full skirt cascaded into a scalloped lace hemline and featured an attached cathedral train. She carried a bouquet of white roses, gardenias and stephanotis, accented by sprays of pears and ivy.
Duana Green served as matron of honor for her sister and the bridesmaids included Jacki May, sister of the bride, and Jodi Beier, Cindy Stanley and Kathy Nisevich, all friends of the bride. The attendants were attired in alternating peach-colored and teal gowns with sequined bodices, and each carried a bouquet of peach-colored roses.
Serving as flower girl was Sarah Sanders, cousin of the groom. Scott Steward, brother of the groom, was the best man and the groomsmen were Brian Sanders, cousin of the groom, and Greg Pratt, Kyle Bruce and Tonye Kirchenstien, all friend of the groom.
The mother of the bride chose a peach-colored, satin dress trimmed with lace, and the mother of the groom wore a tiered, gray chiffon dress.
The couple was feted by 240 guests at a six o'clock reception held at the St. John Parish Hall, which was decorated with peach-colored and teal balloons.
A 1987 graduate of Lowell High School, the bride is employed as a teller at First Commerce Bank in Lowell and will be attending Purdue University Calumet this fall.
A 1984 graduate of Lowell High School, the groom is a truck driver for VC Tank Lines in Schererville.
After a honeymoon in Indianapolis, they are making their home at 752 W. Oakley Ave., Apt. B in Lowell.

- Todd and Sheila Steward of 16001 Colfax St., Lowell, announce the birth of their first child, a son named Sam Allen, on July 2, 1996, at St. Anthony Medical Center in Crown Point. He weighed 7 lbs. 13 oz. and was 19 1/2 inches in length at birth. Grandparents are Don and Hilda May and Jerry and Kay Steward, all of Lowell. Great-grandmothers are Louise May of Sayetteville [sic], Tenn., Orpha Sanger of Lowell and Alice Steward of Lowell.

- Todd and Sheila Steward of 16001 Colfax Street, Lowell, announce the birth of a son, named Max Allen, on September 17, 1998, at St. Anthony Medical Center in Crown Point. He weighed 9 lbs 11 oz. and was 21-1/2 inches in length at birth. He has one brother, Sam, age two. Grandparents are Don and Hilda May and Jerry and Kay Steward, all of Lowell. The great-grandmothers are Louise May of Fayetteville, Tenn., and Orpha Sanger and Alice Steward, both of Lowell.

- Todd and Sheila Steward of 18721 Calumet Avenue, Lowell, announce the birth of a son, named Jake Allen, on June 9, 2000, at St. Anthony Medical Center in Crown Point. He weighed 5 lbs 11 oz. and was 18 inches in length at birth. He has two brothers, Sam, 3-1/2 years, and Max, 1-1/2 years. Grandparents are Don and Hilda May and Jerry and Marlene Steward, all of Lowell. The great-grandmothers are Louise May of Fayetteville, Tennessee, Orpha Sanger and Alice Steward, both of Lowell.
This August 15, 2000, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 3, column 4:
