William Dohrman (1853-1929)

The following unidentified newspaper article, hand-dated 1915, was found in a scrapbook owned by Harriet Hoevet Bennett:

    Birthday Surprise

Wednesday, February 17th was the 62nd birthday anniversary of William Dohrman, who has been with Mr. and Mrs. Chas H. Rudolph the past sixteen years. Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph planned a small surprise on him, which surely did surprise him, when in the evening about 7:30 Mr. and Mrs. William Oltrogge and daughter, Alice, Mr. and Mrs. William Bruce and family, George Sautter, Misses Anna and Clara Einspahr, Mr. and Mrs. Ed P. Hoevet and son, Lemar, Miss Grace Rudolph, Arthur and Sylvia Rudolph, came in and put a great surprise over Mr. Dohrman. The evening was pleasantly spent in visiting and at 9:30 a luncheon was served, which was enjoyed by all. His friends hope that he may be spared to spend many more such happy birthdays.

The following January 31, 1929, Lowell Tribune obituary appeared on page 1, column 5:
